Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Kwon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ted Scheckler!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scheckler scores with a nice body kick.
Kwon checks the leg kick.
Kwon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Scheckler throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Scheckler throws a leg kick that misses.
Scheckler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kwon manages to avoid it.
Scheckler throws the kick towards the body but Kwon avoids it.
Scheckler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kwon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Scheckler - the referee stops the clock and Kwon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Scheckler. Kwon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Scheckler fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kwon.

Scheckler feints a jab promting Kwon to slip. Scheckler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kwon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Good leg kick by Scheckler there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jin Kwon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kwon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Scheckler lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kwon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kwon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Scheckler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
