Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between CJ Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac & Dr.Dre - California Love. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CJ Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Mann!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mann.
Mann bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Johnson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mann.
Johnson scores with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mann is defended easily by Johnson.
CJ Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson.
Mann moves out of range of the body kick from Johnson.

Mann takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Mann takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mann looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Mann wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Mann blocks the body kick.
Johnson tests Mann's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Johnson lunges at Mann with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mann's hand.
Mann moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Mann uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson sizes up Mann with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Johnson lands a slapping body shot.
Johnson lands with a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson stuns Mann with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.

Johnson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Johnson connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson looks to land a right hand but Mann moved out of range.
Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Mann.
Mann uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Mann.
Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Mann darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage.
Johnson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mann has him pressed against the cage.
Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Mann won't allow it.

Mann manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mann takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Mann avoids nicely.
Nice defenses there by Mann.
Johnson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mann under the eye.
Johnson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
CJ Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Mann avoids nicely.
Johnson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Mann does a little dance to reset his feet.
Johnson feints a jab promting Mann to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mann slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mann shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mann moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bobby Mann is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mann shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mann has time to react.
Johnson lands the left hand.
Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mann fails in his attempt to clinch.
Johnson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Johnson throws the left hand but Mann avoids the punch easily.
Mann looks to clinch
and Johnson counters with a nice body shot.
Johnson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mann shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mann is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mann looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Mann tries to score with a low kick but Johnson moves his leg out of the way.
Horrible takedown by Mann or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Johnson connects with a single shot there.
Johnson thuds his right hand into Mann's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mann walks into a jab.


Mann is rocked!
Mann wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Mann is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Manns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Johnson throws a hook to the side of Mann's head but Mann sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mann seems to have recovered his senses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Mann does a little dance to reset his feet.

Mann closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Mann has him pressed against the cage.
Johnson has Mann pushed against the cage.
Johnson tries to break free but Mann pushes him back against the cage.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
Johnson misses with a punch on the inside.
Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Mann is controlling him.
Mann has Johnson pressed against the cage, preventing Johnson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Johnson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mann has him pressed against the cage.

Mann jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Mann around his waist. Mann gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

CJ Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mann pulls guard successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mann wants to improve his position but instead Johnson has moved into half guard.
Mann pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
Mann scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Johnson manages to mount him!
Bobby Mann has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
CJ Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
