Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Currie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Currie comes to the cage accompanied by Helmet - Just Another Victim. Jax has chosen Immortal Technique - The Rebel as his entrance music. David Currie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Currie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Jax!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Currie lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Currie slips under a jab.
Currie thumps Jax with a low kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Currie.
Nice body punch from Jax.
Jax looks to score with a jab to the body but Currie is just out of range.
Currie misses with a double jab.
Jax throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Currie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jax tries to bum rush Currie with a series of wild strikes but Currie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jax takes a swing at Currie's ribcage but misses.
Jax shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Currie lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jax stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jax wants it to stay on the feet.
Jax lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Currie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Currie takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Currie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jax throws an overhand right that lands on Currie's shoulder, as Currie tries to avoid the shot.
Jax throws a looping overhand right but Currie ducks down to avoid it.
Jax throws a shot from downtown. Currie moves away and avoids it.
David Currie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Currie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jax is trying to defend but Currie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jax looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Currie puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Jax tries to roll over but Currie keeps him under control.

Currie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that David Currie will probably get the nod.

Currie loads up on a big right hand but Jax slips the punch.

Currie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Currie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jax but Jax pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Currie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Currie goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Currie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jax feints and then cracks Currie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Currie down.
Jax throws a jab but it's blocked by Currie.
Jax lands a jab to Currie's midsection.
Currie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jax was well out of range. Poor timing from Currie.

Jax throws a front kick aimed at Currie's knee but Currie avoids it well.
Currie throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Currie ducks right into an uppercut from Jax.

Currie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Currie keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Currie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jax's waist but Jax gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Currie off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Currie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Currie avoids the attempt from Jax to control.
Currie is landing with some decent strikes but Jax is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jax is rocked!
Jax is bucking up trying to escape but Currie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jax is still in real trouble! Can Currie finish him?
Currie softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Jax is out cold! Currie jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Currie!
During a confident post fight interview, David Currie thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
