Lane Andrews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rude stalks Andrews and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Andrews's face. Andrews staggers backwards, shaken.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rude is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Andrews had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Andrews shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Andrews tries to bum rush Rude with a series of wild strikes but Rude uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Andrews might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Rude thuds his right hand into Andrews's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Andrews looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Rude feints with a jab and clips Andrews right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Andrews is sent crashing into the canvas and Rude leaps in for the kill! Andrews tries to get to his feet but Rude is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Andrews is in need of a savior and steps in!
