The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laroux moves out of range as Poulter throws a body kick.
Poulter slips under a jab from Laroux.
Laroux throws out a loose jab but Poulter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Laroux looks to land a right hand but Poulter moved out of range.
Laroux has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Poulter.
Nice body kick there by Poulter.
Poulter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Poulter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Poulter throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A punch lands to the side of Poulter 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Poulter lands with a kick to the temple. Laroux shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Poulter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Laroux takes a swing at Poulter's ribcage but misses.
Laroux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Poulter.

Poulter connects with a leg kick. Laroux looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

That kick from Poulter tenderised Laroux's leg. Laroux is trying to keep his angry face on.

That kick from Poulter tenderised Laroux's leg. Laroux is trying to keep his angry face on.
Laroux chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Poulter can pounce on him.
Laroux takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Poulter explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Laroux is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Laroux displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Poulter throws out the jab.

Poulter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laroux.
Laroux stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Poulter.
Poulter misses with a head kick.
Laroux swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Laroux throws a big shot that misses.
Poulter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Poulter lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Poulter pushes Laroux away with a front kick.

Poulter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Poulter thows a body shot but no joy.
Poulter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Oh Laroux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Poulter throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Poulter cracks Laroux with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Poulter has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Laroux to stand back up!
Poulter thows a body shot but no joy.
A chopping leg kick lands by Poulter.
Poulter lands a leg kick that knocks Laroux off balance momentarily.
Poulter finds Laroux's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Laroux flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Poulter lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Laroux will be OK.
