Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fidel Puno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Paulsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puno kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fidel Entry Song. Paulsen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Turning Japanese kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno throws a half hearted mid kick.
Puno swats away the attempt to clinch by Paulsen.
A low kick from Paulsen is predictable there
and Puno counters with an inside leg kick.
Puno with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paulsen looks gassed!
Puno throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Paulsen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Paulsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puno moves away.
Paulsen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Paulsen throws a nice looking combination but Puno bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Puno connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Puno misses with a head kick.
Puno tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Puno misses with a double jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paulsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puno moves away.
Puno connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Puno blocks a head kick by Paulsen.
Paulsen jabs Puno to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Puno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paulsen.
Paulsen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Puno manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Paulsen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Both fighters circling a little - Puno finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Puno fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crunch! Puno slams his shin into Paulsen's torso.
Puno pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Puno lands with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paulsen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Puno connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Paulsen is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Puno Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Paulsen is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Fidel Puno!
In his post fight interview, Fidel Puno gave a big smile as he said 'Savages unite!'.
