Ryan has chosen Cinderella Man By Eminem as his entrance music. Daniel Ryan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Boss throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryan.
A clash of legs there as The Boss blocks the low kick.

The Boss throws a right and a left that Ryan avoids nicely.
The Boss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ryan as he avoids it easily.
The Boss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Caio The Boss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Boss looks to land a combination. Ryan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and The Boss counters with a three punch combo that has Ryan backing up. Ryan nods at The Boss to acknowledge the strikes.

Ryan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Boss moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Caio The Boss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Ryan.
Ryan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Boss swivels and escapes.

Ryan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The Boss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The Boss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryan tries to avoid it but The Boss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryan to the ground. Ryan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ryan throws a right hand that The Boss ducks under and follows up with a left that The Boss also avoids with ease.

Ryan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Boss is trying to defend but Ryan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ryan moves nicely into side control.

Ryan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The Boss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown but The Boss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ryan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The Boss throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Caio The Boss will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ryan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. The Boss manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ryan won't allow The Boss to get back to his feet.

Ryan drops back looking for a leg! The Boss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Boss manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into The Boss's guard.

Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The Boss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ryan has an Americana. The Boss didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ryan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ryan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
