The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deacon misses the jab.
Deacon throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sobrawl counters with a single leg into guard. Deacon didn't expect that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Deacon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Deacon has an active guard here but Sobrawl has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deacon gets back to full guard.
Deacon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sobrawl is one step ahead there.

Deacon looking for subs off his back but Sobrawl has passed one foot through into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sobrawl is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deacon wants to improve his position but Sobrawl is controlling well.
Deacon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Deacon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Deacon.
Sobrawl won't allow Deacon to sweep him here.

Deacon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Deacon stalling away here and it's allowed Sobrawl to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Sobrawl is breathing heavily.
Sobrawl can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Deacon controls the pace.
Sobrawl wants to stand and escape but Deacon is having none of it.
Deacon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sobrawl works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Deacon throwing strikes from guard but Sobrawl blocks nicely.
Deacon throws a strike but Sobrawl rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Deacon wants to control the position but Sobrawl says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Deacon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sobrawl trying to control the pace.
Deacon tries to get to full guard but Sobrawl has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Deacon gets full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Deacon tries to clinch up but Sobrawl circles away and keeps his distance.
Sobrawl shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deacon but Deacon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Deacon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Deacon cracks Sobrawl with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sobrawl shoots in for a double leg but Deacon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Deacon misses with a hook. Sobrawl ducked under it nicely.
Bishop Deacon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deacon tests Sobrawl's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Deacon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Sobrawl is rocked!
Renata Sobrawl is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deacon drops Sobrawl with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Sobrawl! Deacon dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
