The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slick misses with a leg kick.
Slick jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Slick shoots in but no luck this time.
Slick slips a straight right by Maddox.
Slick lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Maddox scores with a jab to the body.
Slick avoids the body shot from Maddox.

It looks like Oil Slick has been cut.

Oil Slick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maddox takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Slick throws a head kick that misses.
Maddox throws a leg kick but Slick moved away.
Maddox moves out of range of the body kick.
Maddox takes a swing at Slick's ribcage but misses.
Slick displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maddox throws out the jab.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Slick wants to control for a moment but Maddox uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Maddox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Slick postures up in Maddox's guard and throws a big left but Maddox blocks it.

Slick is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Slick is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Maddox is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Slick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Still in the clinch, Maddox scores with a nice short uppercut.

Slick is trying to break the clinch but Maddox has him pressed against the cage.
Slick wants to get back to striking at distance but Maddox won't allow it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Maddox counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Slick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Slick uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maddox.
Slick misses with an attempted mid kick.
Slick lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Good leg kick by Slick there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Maddox connects with a leg kick. Slick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Slick takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Some bone on bone action there as Slick checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Maddox throws a push kick but Slick slaps the foot to one side.

Maddox dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Slick. That did some damage!

Maddox throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A telegraphed right hand from Slick misses the target.

Maddox looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Maddox does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maddox lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slick wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Maddox has him pressed against the cage.
Maddox digs a right hand underneath Slick's ribcage. Slick let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Slick blocks the elbow strike.
Maddox tries to throw a body punch but Slick avoids it by throwing Maddox back against the cage.
Slick manages to break the clinch.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Maddox. Slick shrugs it off though.
Maddox connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Maddox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slick moves away.
Maddox connects with the punch.
Maddox looks to land a combination. Slick sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
BOOM! Maddox lands a beautiful left hook that drops Slick. Slick tries to recover but Maddox is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Slick lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Maddox!
