Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tane Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D's entrance music is do it. A fine choice. Thompson has chosen it was over as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Thompson.
Thompson throws a quick inside leg kick.
D loads up on a big right hand but Thompson slips the punch.
D moves away from the strike by Thompson.
A jab from D misses.
Thompson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thompson, right into the meat.
Thompson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but D manages to avoid it.

D shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed D's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Thompson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. D looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

D tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
D shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thompson pinned against the cage. Thompson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Thompson's corner calls for a 1-2. Thompson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Roy D's cut is getting worse.

The fighters circle, before Thompson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into D's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Thompson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
