PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kwaak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam Kwaak was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Kwaak!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwaak throws out a loose jab but Schoots uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schoots lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kwaak at a distance.
Schoots throws the left hand but Kwaak avoids the punch easily.
Schoots misses with an uppercut.

Schoots scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Schoots in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Kwaak tries to bench press Schoots off him but Schoots keeps the position.
Schoots controlling the position from side mount.
Schoots has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kwaak!

Kwaak drops back, looking for a kneebar! Schoots looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Schoots looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Schoots!

Schoots takes a little break here. Kwaak wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Schoots throws a jab but it's blocked by Kwaak.

Kwaak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kwaak has his foot on Schoots's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schoots works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Kwaak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
