PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Brandon Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cullen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Breaking Fangs. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Cullen!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane tries to clinch but Cullen moves out of range.
Crane fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cullen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cullen throws a push kick but Crane slaps the foot to one side.
Cullen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cullen closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Brandon Crane has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cullen misses with a combination

and Crane holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cullen managing to block the knees to the body from Crane.
Crane misses with an elbow over the top.
Cullen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cullen misses with a body punch.
Crane tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Crane stalling the fight.

Crane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cullen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Crane is looking to clinch but Cullen is avoiding it.

Crane closes the distance and clinches.
Cullen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cullen prevents a body shot from Crane.
Cullen takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Jacob Cullen has been cut.
Cullen wants to break free but Crane has control.
Cullen can't break the clinch.
Crane trying to land knees to the body.
Crane prevents Cullen from breaking the clinch.
Cullen stalling in the clinch but Crane improves position.
Crane avoiding damage.
Cullen tries to stall but Crane uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Crane keeps control of Cullen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Crane breaks the clinch.
Cullen throws a head kick that misses.

Cullen lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Crane goes down! The ref sends Cullen to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Crane is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cullen misses with a few strikes there.
Cullen cracks the inside of Crane's front leg.
Crane is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crane dodges the punch combination from Cullen.
Cullen wants to land a leg kick but Crane is out of range.
Cullen is looking to slow Crane down with leg kicks.
Both fighters circling a little - Cullen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Cullen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Cullen lands a head kick that bluckles Crane and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Cullen no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Cullen throws a leg kick but Crane sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cullen misses with a kick to the body.
A good leg kick by Cullen.
Crane walks straight into a solid jab from Cullen. Oh, it looks like it's stumbled him! Cullen follows up with a big combo - a right followed by a left that knocks Crane out cold! Crane toppled like a tree, face planting on the canvas. Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jacob Cullen!
Jacob Cullen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
