Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sean Thorp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Parliament (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorp fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thorp scores with a jab to the jaw.

Parliament drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Parliament is standing up over Thorp. Thorp looks to escape but Parliament dives into side control.
Thorp tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Thorp is desperately trying to improve his position but Parliament has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parliament has hold of Thorp's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Thorp manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Thorp wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Parliament cracks Thorp with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Thorp from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Parliament working for a choke but Thorp is defending well.
I would not like to be Thorp right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
