Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Prozak - Under The Rain. Payette has chosen Sick Puppies- Youre Going Down as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payette throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Payette swivels and escapes.
Payette misses with a double jab.

Jones clinches up with Payette and pushes him back against the cage.

Jones breaks from the clinch.
Payette looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Payette throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Jones counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Payette is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones scores with punches from side control.

It looks like Charles Payette has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Payette is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Payette to see if he's OK.

Payette is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Jones is putting a hurting on Payette here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Payette is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Payette 's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Payette is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though.
Payette looks gassed!
Jones lands a few punches from side control.

Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Payette is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Payette takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jones's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Jordan Jones was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
