The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birthday throws a solid leg kick but Bone takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Birthday.

Birthday shoots in and gets a takedown into Bone's guard.
Bone managing to control the position.
Birthday content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Birthday controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Birthday has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Birthday pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bone is keeping the position for now.
Bone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Birthday is controlling Bone's trapped leg to prevent Bone from advancing to side control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Birthday manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bone throws an elbow that misses. Birthday uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bone's guard. Nice move by Birthday!
Bone keeping moving, preventing Birthday from controlling successfully.
Birthday sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bone's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Birthday seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bone wants to get back to his feet.

Birthday is looking for a kimura here.
Bone trying to control from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Birthday winds up and cracks Bone with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Birthday throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Birthday wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bone keeps working.
Birthday is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Birthday moves into full mount! Bone won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Birthday has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bone's face.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Birthday controlling from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Birthday dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bone throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Birthday lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Birthday tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bone is able to avoid easily.
Bone tries to clinch but Birthday is having none of it.
Bone takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bone scores with a hook to the body. Birthday takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Birthday throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bone staying out of range there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bone is looking to clinch but Birthday is avoiding it.

Birthday drives through and clinches with Bone against the cage.
Bone has Birthday pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Birthday manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Birthday stalling in the clinch.
Birthday prevents the takedown attempt.
Bone is trying to break free.
A short body shot lands from Birthday as the two fighters clinch.
Bone on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Birthday lands with a short shot to the head.
Birthday tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Birthday lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Birthday dips a shoulder and cracks Bone with a mighty uppercut! Bone falls back against the cage and Birthday unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bone is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Birthday screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corey Birthday!
Corey Birthday seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
