The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clement pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A jab from Hardnegger finds it's way through Clement's defenses.

It looks like Jules Clement has been cut.
Clement misses with a low kick.
Clement fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hardnegger moves in looking to clinch but Clement pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hardnegger is defended easily by Clement.
A solid leg kick lands there for Clement.
Ferdinand Hardnegger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clement lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hardnegger takes a step back to recover.
Hardnegger shoots for a double leg takedown but Clement sprawls well. He's pushed Hardnegger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hardnegger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clement's waist but Clement gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hardnegger off to one side.

Hardnegger is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Clement is keeping busy.

Hardnegger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Clement is just riding it out for now. Hardnegger eventually gives up the hold.

Hardnegger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clement swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hardnegger is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Clement has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hardnegger is looking to defend but Clement has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hardnegger! Clement pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hardnegger taps out and this one is all over!
