Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chad Kauffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Abaddon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kauffman comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne- Up up and away. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Kauffman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Abaddon!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abaddon lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Chad Kauffman has been cut.
Abaddon looks to throw the jab but Kauffman is out of range.
A big right from Abaddon misses.
Abaddon blocks a leg kick.
Abaddon throws a hook but Kauffman blocks it.
Kauffman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A big right from Kauffman misses.
Abaddon throws a poor cross that misses
and Kauffman counters with a body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Abaddon. Kauffman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Abaddon throws a head kick but Kauffman moves out of range.
Kauffman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kauffman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Abaddon tries a low kick but Kauffman avoids it.
Kauffman is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


Kauffman is rocked!

Kauffman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Oh Kauffman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kauffman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Abaddon's head.
Kauffman trying to control the action but Abaddon is working from the bottom.
Kauffman seems to have got his legs back now.
Abaddon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kauffman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kauffman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Abaddon defending well though.
Kauffman wants to advance to full mount but Abaddon doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Kauffman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Abaddon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Kauffman throws an elbow that misses. Abaddon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kauffman's guard. Nice move by Abaddon!
Abaddon tries to stand but Kauffman is controlling from the bottom.
Kauffman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kauffman is trying to control the position but Abaddon postures up.
Kauffman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Abaddon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Abaddon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kauffman is pulling down on Abaddon's head. It's preventing any offense from Abaddon, at least for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

We're going to have a standup here because Chad Kauffman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Abaddon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Abaddon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kauffman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kauffman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kauffman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Abaddon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kauffman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Abaddon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kauffman can pounce on him.
A jab from Abaddon misses.
Kauffman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Abaddon throws a leg kick which misses Kauffman's front leg but catches the back leg as Kauffman tries to avoid it.
Kauffman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kauffman there as he acknowledges the shot.
Abaddon lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kauffman falls backwards - clearly groggy! Abaddon dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Abaddon!
Anthony Abaddon is the new middleweight champion!
After winning the bout, Anthony Abaddon thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
