Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joeli Babitu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joeli Babitu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Jordan or perhaps it was just good defense by Babitu which made him look bad.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jordan is defended easily by Babitu.
Babitu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Babitu wants it to stay on the feet.
Joeli Babitu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jordan.
A good leg kick by Babitu.
Jordan dives in and grabs Babitu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Babitu pushes down on Jordan's head and hops out.
A head kick misses from Babitu.
Jordan shoots for a double leg takedown but Babitu sprawls well. He's pushed Jordan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Babitu throws a push kick but Jordan slaps the foot to one side.

Nice sprawl there from Babitu as Jordan shoots in.

Jordan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Babitu's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jordan is trying to control the action in half guard but Babitu is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Babitu wants to improve his position but Jordan is controlling well.
Jordan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Babitu is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jordan trying to control the action but Babitu is working from the bottom.
Babitu is looking to improve his position.
Jordan is trying to control. Babitu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jordan is taking a breather. Babitu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jon Jordan.
Babitu feints and then cracks Jordan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jordan down.

Jordan scores with a takedown into Babitu's guard.
Jordan trying to control the position from guard on top but Babitu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jordan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jon Jordan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Babitu slaps away a takedown attempt from Jordan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jordan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Babitu. Babitu obviously looking to wear him down.
Babitu misses with a head kick.
Jordan shoots in but no luck this time.
Jordan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Babitu scoring well with a low kick there.
Good leg kick by Babitu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Babitu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jordan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Babitu circles away.
Joeli Babitu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jordan blocks the body kick.
Babitu throws a nice inside leg kick.
Good leg kick by Babitu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jordan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Babitu's waist but Babitu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jordan off to one side.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jordan looking to sit in guard and control but Babitu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Babitu stands up from guard. Let's bang!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice body kick there by Babitu.
Babitu throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jordan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Babitu's waist but Babitu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jordan off to one side.
Jordan shoots for a takedown but Babitu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joeli Babitu dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A chopping leg kick lands by Babitu.

Babitu lands a big head kick that sends Jordan tumbling to the mat! Babitu takes a step backwards and waves Jordan back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Jordan is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Babitu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jordan.
Babitu throws a body kick that misses.

Babitu lands a big head kick that sends Jordan tumbling to the mat! Babitu takes a step backwards and waves Jordan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jordan is still on wobbly legs! Can Babitu finish him?
Jordan wants to stay close but Babitu steps back to make room for something. Jordan seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Babitu and Jordan drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Joeli Babitu!
After winning the bout, Joeli Babitu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
