Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niklas Lidstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Amaral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Niklas Lidstrom has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Lidstrom does it's job there.
Amaral is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lidstrom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Amaral shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Amaral was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lidstrom tries to hold on but Amaral pushes him away.

Amaral has control of Lidstrom's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lidstrom regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amaral is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lidstrom can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lidstrom is trying desperately to improve position.
Poor strikes thrown by Amaral there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Lidstrom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Amaral on the ground.

Amaral goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lidstrom turns into him and now he's in Amaral's guard.

Lidstrom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Amaral has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lidstrom has managed to get both his arms back between Amaral's legs - danger averted.

Amaral has an Americana. Lidstrom didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Amaral is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Amaral hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
