Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Sydal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sameul Lianza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lianza has chosen blaza of glory as his entrance music. Sameul Lianza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lianza throws the left hand but Sydal avoids the punch easily.
Lianza throws a hook to the side of Sydal's head but Sydal sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sydal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sydal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sydal has control of Lianza's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lianza regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sydal goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lianza turns into him and now he's in Sydal's guard.
Lianza wants to stand but Sydal is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sydal uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Sydal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sydal throws an elbow that misses. Lianza uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sydal's guard. Nice move by Lianza!
Sydal kicks Lianza off and gets to his feet.
Sydal ducks under a wild hook from Lianza.
Lianza gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sydal throwing strikes but missing.

Sydal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lianza is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sydal, into his guard.
Sydal uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Lianza throws out a loose jab but Sydal uses good head movement to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sydal drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lianza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sydal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sydal tries to free his leg and advance position but Lianza is retaining full guard.
Sydal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lianza is breathing heavily.

Matt Sydal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sydal keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lianza's head.
Sydal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sydal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sydal drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sydal as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lianza screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sydal! Nice submission victory there!

Matt Sydal spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
