Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaromir Jag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Castle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 23 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jaromir Jag!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jag clinches up against the cage.
Castle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jag after a bit of a struggle.
Castle is working for takedown but Jag is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jag working Castle over with knees to the body.
Jag crunches a lovely knee into Castle's ribcage.

Castle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Castle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Castle goes for a takedown attempt but Jag pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Castle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Castle throws a body kick the misses
and Jag counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Castle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jaromir Jag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jag tries to avoid it but Castle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jag to the ground. Jag escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jag looks to clinch

and Castle counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Castle wanted to stand there but Jag had control of the position.

Jag has his feet on Castle's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Jag displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Castle.

Castle misses with a takedown attempt - Jag sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jaromir Jag is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Castle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jag napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Castle stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice takedown defense from Jag. No joy for Castle on that attempt.
Castle is breathing heavily.
Castle misses with a series of wild punches.
Jag catches Castle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Castle takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Castle throws a low kick but Jag moves out of range easily.
Castle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jag avoids it really well and circles away.
Castle swings for the body but Jag moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jag is looking to clinch.
Jag wants to clinch.
Jag tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Castle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castle is controlling the pace.
Jag is trying to stand back up but Castle is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castle is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jag wants to stand back up but Castle manages to pass into side control.

Castle decides to stand back up. Castle steps back and let's Jag get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castle shoots in but Jag avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Castle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jag tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Castle misses with a jab, cross combination.

Castle feints and as Jag raises his hands in defense, Castle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Castle stops Jag from standing up.
Castle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jag wants to stand but Castle is controlling the position.
Jag wants to get back to his feet but Castle passes into half guard.
Castle passes to full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Castle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jag is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Castle controlling the pace for now.

Jag is trying to stand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Castle is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Castle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jag looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Castle dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Castle blocks a head kick by Jag.
Jag tries to clinch up but Castle circles away and keeps his distance.
Castle doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jag counters with a stiff right hand.

Castle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jag pushes Castle off and gets back to his feet.
Jag tries to clinch up.

Castle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Castle lands in his opponent's guard.
Castle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jag is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Frank Castle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jag is breathing heavily.
Castle showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Frank Castle just wasn't active enough.
Castle shoots in looking for a takedown. Jag tries to sprawl out of it but Castle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jag manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Castle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Castle advances to half guard.

Castle is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jag looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Castle wants to work for an arm triangle but Jag is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Castle controlling the pace.
Jag wants to get back to his feet.
Castle controlling the pace.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Castle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jag with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Castle is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jag is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frank Castle!
