The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stein slaps away a takedown attempt from Gat, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stein jabs at Gat's body.
Gat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stein cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Johnny Gat has been cut.
Gat has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Gat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stein wants it to stay on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stein scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stein leaves Gat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gat is breathing heavily.
Stein lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Gat falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

A relieved looking Ira Stein thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
