Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meat Machine has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andrew Carter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Meat Machine!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Carter stands up over Machine, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Carter passes Machine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Carter is looking to stall here but Machine recovers full guard.
Machine wants to stand up but Carter is controlling him.
Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Carter controlling from the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Carter thows a big elbow that misses.
Carter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Machine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carter is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Machine moves out of range as Carter strikes.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Machine tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Machine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Machine.

Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Machine's guard.
Machine wants to stand but Carter is controlling the position.
Carter slips nicely into half guard.
Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carter passes to full mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machine is trying to stand.
Carter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Machine is looking to escape.

Carter goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Machine turns into him and now he's in Carter's guard.
Machine trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Carter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Carter trying to keep a closed guard but Machine is proving a slippery customer.
Carter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Machine has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Carter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Carter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Machine's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Carter dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Carter is looking to clinch.
Machine stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Machine keeps the fight on the outside.
Carter shoots in and drives through. Machine sprawls well.
Carter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machine as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carter is looking to clinch but Machine is avoiding it.
Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machine's waist but Machine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter shoots in but no luck this time.

Carter gets a takedown into half guard.

Carter seems to be working for a kimura but Machine defends the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carter seems to be looking for submissions.
Machine is trying to stand up here but Carter is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machine keeps working.
Machine is trying to control but can't.
Carter thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Machine to regain full guard.

Carter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Machine manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carter has Machine in his guard.
Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machine is one step ahead there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machine is looking to stand up but Carter won't let him.
Machine showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Carter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Machine has passed into side control.
Carter tries to improve position but can't.
Machine is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Carter looks to move to half guard but instead Machine has passed into mount! Damn!
Machine controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meat Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Machine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Carter feints and as Machine raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carter trying to control but Machine is working from the bottom.
Carter passes Machine's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Carter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machine is just riding it out for now. Carter eventually gives up the hold.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Carter seems to be working for a kimura but Machine defends the submission attempt.
Carter is keen to just control but Machine is a slippery customer.
Machine regains full guard. Nicely done.
Machine wants to stand and escape but Carter is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Machine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Machine is trying to buck Carter off.
Machine takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Carter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carter lands some shots froms side control.

Carter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Machine's face as Carter controls the position.
Carter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carter throws an elbow but Machine slips to the side and avoids it well.
Carter fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Carter working the body and head with strikes.
Carter trying to control the action but Machine is working from the bottom.
Carter is putting a hurting on Machine here, landing some big shots from side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The strikes coming from Carter are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Carter showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Carter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
