Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atlas MacDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Riori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacDowell comes to the ring accompanied by Face The Pain. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riori comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
MacDowell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
MacDowell moves in looking to clinch but Riori pushes him off.
Riori throws out a loose jab but MacDowell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Angel Riori seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riori thows a body shot but no joy.

Riori fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging MacDowell to the ground. Riori is now in MacDowell's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riori is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but MacDowell still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, MacDowell has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
MacDowell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riori on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Atlas MacDowell will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
MacDowell throws a wild body kick that Riori sees coming a mile off.

MacDowell shoots in but Riori avoids the takedown attempt easily.
MacDowell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Riori. That did some damage!

MacDowell lands a right hand that snaps the head of Riori backwards.

Riori is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Atlas MacDowell will probably get the nod.

MacDowell is pressed up against the ropes. Riori has hold of a leg and is looking to drag MacDowell down to the mat. MacDowell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Riori tries to keep at a distance but MacDowell has taken the fight into the clinch.

Atlas MacDowell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well MacDowell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Atlas MacDowell rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
