PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toby Le Rone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Materazzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le Rone kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Let The Bodies Hit The Floor - Drowning Pool. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le Rone jabs Materazzi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Le Rone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Materazzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Le Rone.
Le Rone looks to score with a jab to the body but Materazzi is just out of range.
Materazzi throws a combination that misses
and Le Rone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Marco Materazzi has been cut.
Le Rone pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Le Rone moves into the clinch successfully.
Materazzi looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Le Rone makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Le Rone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Le Rone tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Materazzi avoids it.
Materazzi is trying to force a seperation but Le Rone has the dominant position.
A nice left hand lands by Le Rone.
Le Rone tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Materazzi is trying to push Le Rone away but Le Rone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Materazzi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Materazzi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Le Rone to score with a decent uppercut.

Le Rone thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Materazzi if he has to take too many more of those.
Le Rone lands with an overhand left.
Le Rone lands a nice leg kick that just misses Materazzi's sensitive parts.
Materazzi looks gassed!
Le Rone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Le Rone lands a nice looking body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Le Rone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Le Rone moves into range and connects with a jab.

That has opened up Marco Materazzi's cut even more.
A solid leg kick lands there for Le Rone.
Le Rone lands a nice looking kick to the body. Materazzi takes a step back to recover.
Le Rone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

A chopping leg kick lands by Le Rone.
Materazzi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Le Rone. Le Rone obviously looking to wear him down.
Le Rone cracks a nice hook into Materazzi's ribs.
Le Rone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Materazzi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Le Rone fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Materazzi on the side of the head.
Le Rone fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

The cut above Marco Materazzi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Le Rone feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Materazzi's calf.
A jab lands there for Le Rone.
Le Rone tries to land a front kick but Materazzi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Le Rone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Le Rone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Materazzi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Materazzi moves forwards but Le Rone connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Marco Materazzi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Le Rone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Le Rone lands a lovely overhand right.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marco Materazzi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
