Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pluto Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Palhares might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TOQUINHO. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bradley's choice of entrance music: Rule Britannia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Bradley!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bradley pulls guard successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bradley controls Palhares momentarily but Palhares frees himself.
Palhares wants to pass the guard but Bradley is keeping the position.
Palhares throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bradley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Palhares is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Palhares loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Palhares accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palhares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bradley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Palhares fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Palhares throws a hook but Bradley avoids it easily.
Paul Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bradley throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Palhares lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Bradley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bradley trying to control from Palhares's half guard. Palhares has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Palhares can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bradley controls the pace.

Palhares looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bradley is one step ahead there.

Palhares has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bradley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Palhares.

That's time! Palhares's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bradley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Palhares's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pluto Palhares.
Well Palhares has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
