The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovchanchyn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nom Nom ducks under a wild hook from Vovchanchyn.
Nom Nom checks a leg kick nicely.
Vovchanchyn fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nom Nom is out of range.
Wanderlei Vovchanchyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vovchanchyn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nom Nom looks to land a body kick but Vovchanchyn moved away.
Nom Nom connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vovchanchyn momentarily.
Nom Nom doesn't manage to clinch there - Vovchanchyn circles away.
Vovchanchyn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nom Nom swivels and escapes.
Sloppy strikes from Nom Nom. Those never looked like landing.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vovchanchyn, right into the meat.
Nom Nom is breathing heavily.
Vovchanchyn feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nom Nom's calf.

Vovchanchyn throws out a loose jab but Nom Nom uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vovchanchyn throws a low kick but it's checked well by Nom Nom.

Nom Nom tries for a takedown but Vovchanchyn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vovchanchyn throws a hook to the side of Nom Nom's head but Nom Nom sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nom Nom takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Om Nom Nom has been cut.
Vovchanchyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vovchanchyn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vovchanchyn lands a really nice looking cross but Nom Nom seems unphased.

Nom Nom ducks into an uppercut from Vovchanchyn and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
