The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickock throws a body kick that misses.
Christian misses with a right hand
enabling Hickock to counter with a crisp jab.
Hickock throws a low kick but Christian moves out of range easily.
A cross from Christian lands.
Hickock tries to clinch but Christian is having none of it.
Hickock checks a leg kick.
Christian swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hickock throws a body punch but Christian moves out of range.
Christian connects with a body shot that sends Hickock's belly button to the back.
Christian throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hickock counters with a nice kick to the body.
Hickock walks into a jab.
Archer Christian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hickock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hickock wants to stand up but Christian is controlling him.

Christian's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Christian throws a series of punches but Hickock avoids them all with ease.

Hickock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hickock keeps Christian at a distance using the push kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hickock avoids the body shot from Christian.
Christian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hickock tries to avoid it but Christian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hickock to the ground. Hickock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hickock tries to clinch but Christian moves out of range.
Hickock throws a head kick that misses.
Christian fails with the takedown.
Hickock moves out of range of the leg kick from Christian.
Christian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hickock quickly recovers to half guard.
Christian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hickock keeps working.

Hickock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Christian is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hickock wants to control but Christian is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Christian is looking to take a break and control but Hickock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Christian has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Christian has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hickock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hickock cracks Christian with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Christian looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hickock finish him?

BAM! Hickock delivers a spinning backfist that drops Christian like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
