Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down has chosen 50 Cent - I Get Money as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Drew Down!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Down keeps working.
Down dodges the ground and pound from Hunter.
Down takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Down is letting Hunter control him for a moment.

Hunter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Down has escaped the position, nice work there.
Down really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hunter cracks Down with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Down is not content to let Hunter control the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter throwing strikes but Down manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Hunter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Down off and has taken his back!

Hunter punches the canvas rather than the man.
Down covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Hunter scores with strikes from the back.
Hunter scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Down is looking for a way out.
Down prevents Hunter from getting a body triangle.
Hunter is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Down up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hunter is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Hunter gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hunter gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hunter apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Hunter on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hunter walks into a left hand.

Down dips to his left and cracks Hunter with an uppercut!
Hunter moves out of range of the body kick from Down.
Down throws a hook but Hunter avoids it easily.
Down throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hunter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Down thinking.
Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hunter shoots for a double leg takedown but Down sprawls well. He's pushed Hunter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Down counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Down ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Down keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hunter shoots in but no luck this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunter shoots and misses
and Down counters with a stiff right hand.
Down tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunter was well out of range. Poor timing from Down.

Hunter shoots in and gets a takedown into Down's guard.
Hunter working some strikes from top position.
Hunter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hunter trying to control but Down is working from the bottom.
Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hunter drops back looking for a leg! Down is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Down manages to kick Hunter off! Hunter jumps back into Down's guard.

Down keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully.

Down wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Down can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hunter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Hunter dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Hunter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hunter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hunter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Down throws a hook but Hunter avoids it easily.
Down ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Hunter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Down to the ground. Hunter is now in Down's guard.
Down has control of Hunter's left arm, preventing Hunter from doing any damage.
Hunter wants to pass the guard but Down is keeping the position.
Hunter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Down is trying to keep Hunter in close.
Hunter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Down looking for a sweep. Not yet Down, not yet.
Down avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Down preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Down not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hunter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hunter passes Down's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Down is looking for a sweep. Hunter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hunter slips a nice elbow through Down's hands, connecting with Down's forehead.
Hunter frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Down is rocked!
Hunter loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Down scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hunter land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hunter stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Hunter!
Jay Hunter decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
