Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dimitri Lavonia!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavonia moves out of range of the body kick.
Summers looks to land a combination but Lavonia avoids it well.
Nice sprawl there from Lavonia as Summers shoots in.
Sloppy strikes from Summers. Those never looked like landing.

Lavonia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Summers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lavonia is in Summers's guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Summers here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Dimitri Lavonia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Summers is looking to break free of the clinch but Lavonia has double underhooks.

Summers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Summers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lavonia wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving.
Summers wants to stand but Lavonia is controlling the position.
Lavonia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dave Summers.
I think Summers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
