PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shia LaBeouf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaBeouf comes to the cage accompanied by Gut You. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter tries to clinch but LaBeouf moves away

and LaBeouf counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
LaBeouf is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We're going to have a standup here because Shia LaBeouf wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Carter dives in and grabs LaBeouf's left leg, looking for a takedown. LaBeouf pushes down on Carter's head and hops out.

Carter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

LaBeouf fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away.

LaBeouf throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

LaBeouf closes the distance and clinches up with Carter, looking for a takedown. LaBeouf pushes Carter against the cage but Carter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carter does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and LaBeouf counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shia LaBeouf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from LaBeouf.

LaBeouf throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing LaBeouf off to one side.
LaBeouf lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but LaBeouf shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
LaBeouf changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but LaBeouf manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
LaBeouf misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Carter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on LaBeouf. That did some damage!
Carter throws a sloppy head kick and LaBeouf moves out of range easily.
LaBeouf closes the distance and clinches up with Carter, looking for a takedown. LaBeouf pushes Carter against the cage but Carter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

LaBeouf throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.

Carter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter wants to clinch but LaBeouf slips to the side
enabling LaBeouf to counter with a crisp jab.

LaBeouf slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst LaBeouf is controlling him.

Shia LaBeouf decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
