Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Potkukelkka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felipe Naza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Potkukelkka!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potkukelkka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sloppy strikes from Naza. Those never looked like landing.
Naza swings for the body but Potkukelkka moves out of range.
Potkukelkka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Felipe Naza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potkukelkka misses with a kick to the body.

Potkukelkka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Naza tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Potkukelkka is in Naza's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Naza being controlled here, momentarily.
Potkukelkka tries to free his leg and advance position but Naza is retaining full guard.
Potkukelkka wants to control from the top but Naza keeps moving.
Potkukelkka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Potkukelkka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Naza swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James Potkukelkka wasn't active enough on the ground.
A looping hook to the body misses from Naza. Potkukelkka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Naza connects with a single shot there.
A shot to the body from Potkukelkka misses
and Naza counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Potkukelkka fails with the takedown.

Potkukelkka manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Naza on his heels. He'll look to pass Naza's guard now, I'm sure.
Potkukelkka wants to pass the guard but Naza is keeping the position.
Potkukelkka trying to control but Naza is working from the bottom.
Potkukelkka throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potkukelkka is looking to work some ground and pound but Naza has wrist control.
Naza is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Potkukelkka is controlling him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Potkukelkka passes into half guard.
Naza tries to get to full guard but Potkukelkka has control of the leg.
Potkukelkka is trying to control the action in half guard but Naza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Potkukelkka not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Potkukelkka moves into full mount! Naza won't be happy about that!
Potkukelkka controlling the position easily from mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Potkukelkka working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Naza turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Potkukelkka off and cradles Naza's limp body as Potkukelkka celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). James Potkukelkka!
