Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan McCriux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mauricio Rua!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and McCriux counters with a crisp one two that drops Rua! McCriux thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rua to his feet! Rua is in big trouble!
Rua is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A solid leg kick lands there for McCriux.
Rua is still on wobbly legs! Can McCriux finish him?
Rua throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and McCriux counters by clinching up.
McCriux lands a nice knee to the body.
McCriux is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Rua tries to break McCriux's hands from around his neck, McCriux unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Rua will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Logan McCriux!
