Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McGuirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Zalesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John McGuirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Zalesky!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from McGuirk.
McGuirk shoots for a takedown but Zalesky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zalesky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGuirk moves away.
Zalesky swings widly with a right hand
and McGuirk counters with a one-two to the body.
McGuirk closes the distance and clinches up with Zalesky, looking for a takedown. McGuirk pushes Zalesky against the cage but Zalesky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McGuirk walks into a straight right hand from Zalesky.
Zalesky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGuirk moves away.
Zalesky looks to score with a jab to the body but McGuirk is just out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGuirk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McGuirk shoots for a double leg takedown but Zalesky sprawls well. He's pushed McGuirk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John McGuirk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by McGuirk or perhaps it was just good defense by Zalesky which made him look bad.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zalesky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGuirk moves away.
Zalesky scores with a jab.
Zalesky connects with a looping right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGuirk shoots in looking for a takedown but Zalesky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGuirk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scott Zalesky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McGuirk is breathing heavily.
McGuirk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zalesky tries to avoid it but McGuirk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zalesky to the ground. Zalesky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zalesky wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGuirk drops his hands momentarily and Zalesky takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like John McGuirk has been cut.
McGuirk takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Zalesky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McGuirk. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Zalesky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zalesky works McGuirk's body with a nice hook.
Zalesky lands a nice shot to the body.
Zalesky dips to his left and cracks McGuirk with an uppercut!
Zalesky missing with a left hand there. McGuirk was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Zalesky swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Zalesky cracks McGuirk with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Zalesky has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McGuirk to stand back up!


McGuirk is rocked!
McGuirk slips a straight right by Zalesky.
Oh McGuirk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Scott Zalesky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zalesky scores with a hook to the body. McGuirk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Zalesky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGuirk stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zalesky weaves into range and cracks McGuirk right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! McGuirk goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Zalesky is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scott Zalesky!
