Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Guns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guns comes to the cage accompanied by Kwan - Shine . Williams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. All the Above- Maino ft. T-Pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rudi Guns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Williams!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guns lands with a cross.

Guns closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Williams did well to prevent Guns getting side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Guns throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Guns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Guns is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Williams keeping hold of Guns's head, controlling as best he can.
Williams is staying active underneath Guns, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Williams is looking for a sweep. Guns is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Guns tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Williams blocking the ground and pound attempt from Guns.

Guns is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Guns trying to mount his opponent but Williams defends it.
Guns is working hard here to advance position.

Guns stalling away here and it's allowed Williams to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Guns throws a big right hand that misses.
Guns looking to pass the guard.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guns trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Guns landing with the ground and pound.

Guns is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Guns works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Guns wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Guns passes to side control.
Guns postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Guns lands a few punches from side control.
Guns with the ground and pound but Williams regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Williams is looking for a sweep. Guns is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Guns works his way into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guns lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Williams hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rudi Guns dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Williams uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Guns.
Guns avoids the head kick by Williams.
Rudi Guns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guns misses the shot to the body.
Williams takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Guns throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Guns.
Williams takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Williams fakes the leg kick and cracks Guns in the body.
Guns misses with a wild body shot.
Guns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively.
Guns throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guns is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Williams.
Guns avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williams scores with a jab to the head.
Guns shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Paul Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A shot to the liver by Guns. Beautiful body shot.
Some wild striking there from Guns.
Guns fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Williams throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Guns counters with a nice double leg into side control. Williams won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guns sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Williams is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rudi Guns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guns throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Williams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Guns.
Guns throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Guns looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Williams is avoiding damage well.
Guns throws an elbow but Williams slips to the side and avoids it well.
You can see the frustration on Williams's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Guns is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Williams is trying to escape and Guns transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Williams is forced to tap! Nice work there by Guns! Very nice indeed!
