Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen OBeirne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Glen OBeirne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaice Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OBeirne throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gunn tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. OBeirne is in Gunn's guard.

Gunn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
OBeirne wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Glen OBeirne just wasn't active enough.

Gunn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming OBeirne to the mat! OBeirne manages to get full guard.

Gunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with OBeirne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OBeirne stands up over Gunn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gunn is trying to keep OBeirne in close.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Glen OBeirne will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A momentary lapse in concentration from OBeirne enables Gunn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. OBeirne manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kaice Gunn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
