Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Larry Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ness comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Untouchable/Paper Airplanes Remix . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Ness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ness misses with a takedown
and Mendes counters with a series of strikes. Ness will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ness shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Ness drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mendes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ness has Mendes in his guard.
Mendes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ness. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ness is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mendes is aware though and is defending well.

Mendes tries to hold on but Ness pushes him away.

Ness has hold of Mendes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mendes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ness moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mendes has worked his arm free - good work by Mendes!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ness tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ness has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ness thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ness has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mendes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ness yanks on the arm and Mendes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ness.
