Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Super Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hans comes to the cage accompanied by Hans being Hans. Super Hans has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Super Hans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Igor Wietrzny!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wietrzny has managed to clinch.
A shot in the inside from Hans.

Hans is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wietrzny can't fight it off and eventually Hans manages to take the fight to the floor. Wietrzny looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hans drops back looking for a leg! Wietrzny is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wietrzny manages to kick Hans off! Hans jumps back into Wietrzny's guard.

Wietrzny manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hans's best efforts.
Wietrzny is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hans wants to control from the top but Wietrzny keeps moving.
Wietrzny is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hans thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wietrzny looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hans has picked Wietrzny up and slammed him! Wietrzny can't keep hold of the triangle and Hans manages to pass to side control!

Wietrzny wants to control but Hans postures up.

Hans advances to full mount.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hans with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hans looking to secure an arm triangle but Wietrzny defends it well.
Wietrzny is wriggling around trying to escape.

Hans looking for a guillotine from mount but Wietrzny is having none of it.
Wietrzny is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hans swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wietrzny is now in Hans's guard. A big mistake from Hans there, giving up the dominant position!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hans is looking for a triangle but Wietrzny pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wietrzny is one step ahead there.
Wietrzny trying to control the position from guard on top but Hans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wietrzny might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hans kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Wietrzny is pushing down on Hans's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hans is fighting to maintain full guard but Wietrzny has managed to sneak the leg through.

Wietrzny drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hans manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wietrzny has Hans in his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wietrzny lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hans!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wietrzny is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hans to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hans shrugs it off.
Hans tries to reverse the position but Wietrzny maintains control.

Wietrzny has hold of Hans's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hans manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hans is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Super Hans will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hans misses with a body shot.

Hans closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hans tries to work over Wietrzny's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Hans is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Hans lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wietrzny backwards.
Wietrzny blocking some punches.
Hans is leaning against Wietrzny and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Hans fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hans lands a body punch in the clinch.

Hans has clasped his hands together around Wietrzny's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hans wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wietrzny, who protects the arm well.
Super Hans overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hans tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hans has hold of Wietrzny's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wietrzny seems comfortable defending it but Hans has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wietrzny is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wietrzny is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hans couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Super Hans!
Super Hans seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
