Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Gerous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gerous thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice straight punches there by Thomas. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Thomas.
Thomas lands a really nice looking cross but Gerous seems unphased.
Thomas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Gerous is just out of range.

and Gerous counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Gerous drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Thomas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gerous has Thomas in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Gerous will probably get the nod.

Thomas lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Thomas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Gerous uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas.
Gerous lands a glancing blow to the side of Thomas's head.
Doc Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gerous misses with a combination
