The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Logan counters with a head kick that drops Brody to the mat! Brody scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dillion Brody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Logan moves into the clinch.
Brody wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Logan has him pressed against the cage.
Logan lands an elbow inside.

Brody avoids the body shot from Logan.
No joy there for Brody, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brody throws a combination that misses
and Logan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brody closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Frankie Logan has been cut.

Logan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brody's head backwards.

Logan gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Logan decides to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Brody is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Logan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brody defends it easily.
Logan wants to get back to his feet but Brody is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Logan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brody not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Brody must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brody chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Logan can pounce on him.
Logan throws a right hand that Brody ducks under and follows up with a left that Brody also avoids with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
