The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardona is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.
Diaz scores with a one two! Cardona had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Cardona moves into range and clinches up with Diaz.
Cardona struggles to land a body shot inside as Diaz controls his hands.
Cardona misses with a punch on the inside.
Cardona prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch.
Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cardona has him pressed against the cage.
Cardona lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Cardona tries a body shot but Diaz blocks it.
Cardona can't find room to land a body shot as Diaz controls the action.
Cardona misses with some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cardona.
Cardona lands a shoulder strike.
Cardona lands a left hand.
Cardona tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Diaz's elbow.

Cardona fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Diaz blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Cardona pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cardona ducks right into an uppercut from Diaz.
Diaz lands with an overhand left.
Cardona tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it.
A right-left combo lands from Diaz.
A punch combination from Diaz misses.
Diaz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cardona eats them both and turns towards Diaz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Diaz has Cardona up against the cage in a clinch.

Cardona lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
Diaz can't break the clinch.
Cardona tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A nice left hand lands by Cardona.
Cardona lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Diaz is rocked!
Cardona creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Diaz's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Diaz drops to his knees and Cardona pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
