With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jethro Gibbs!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lovell pushes Gibbs up against the cage in a clinch.
Gibbs should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lovell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gibbs.
Gibbs is looking to break free of the clinch but Lovell has double underhooks.

Gibbs moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Zaine Lovell has been cut.

Gibbs closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lovell quickly recovers to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gibbs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lovell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gibbs has managed to get both his arms back between Lovell's legs - danger averted.

Gibbs has control of Lovell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lovell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lovell tries to hold on but Gibbs postures up.

Gibbs is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lovell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lovell wants to control but Gibbs is having none of it.
Gibbs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lovell tries to lock up and control but Gibbs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gibbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Lovell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gibbs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lovell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gibbs looks for the body kick but Lovell saw that one coming.

Lovell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gibbs's guard.
Lovell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Lovell has gone for a leg lock! Gibbs slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lovell's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lovell holds on and takes a little breather.
Gibbs wanted to stand there but Lovell had control of the position.

Lovell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gibbs defends it easily.

Gibbs has an Americana. Lovell didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gibbs is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gibbs hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
