Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armor King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Armor King. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pereira's calf.

King throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pereira was covering up waiting for the punch and King finishes the takedown easily into guard.
King has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pereira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Armor King will probably get the nod.

Pereira has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. King is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pereira.
