Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Walter!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter wants to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Walter.
Couture displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Walter.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Couture is defended easily by Walter.
Walter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Couture.
Walter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Couture closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Walter's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Couture got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Couture has managed to get both his arms back between Walter's legs - danger averted.
Couture connects with a couple of short punches.
Walter wants to stand but Couture is controlling the position.
Walter has momentary wrist control but Couture slips an elbow through the middle.

Walter controls Couture momentarily but Couture frees himself.
Couture wants to control from the top but Walter keeps moving.
Walter looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Couture throws a big right hand that misses.

Walter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Couture defends well.
Walter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Couture loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Couture has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Walter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Couture is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Walter pulls down on the head and he's put Couture to sleep! This one is all over!
