The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
State gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Maddox counters with a low kick, right behind State 's knee.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown but State shows good takedown defense.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from State.
State throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maddox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Gunner State has been cut.

Maddox shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches State napping and manages to drive through into side control!
