Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eldar Arbuhmedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Richards misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Richards is pressed up against the ropes. Arbuhmedov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Richards down to the mat. Richards avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Arbuhmedov shoots for a takedown but Richards saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Richards slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Arbuhmedov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Arbuhmedov is looking for a triangle but Richards pushes his legs off easily.

Richards thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Richards drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Richards jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Richards will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arbuhmedov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Richards is one step ahead there.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Richards's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Arbuhmedov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Richards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Richards tries to reverse the position but Arbuhmedov maintains control.
Richards gets back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arbuhmedov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Richards has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Arbuhmedov is looking to defend but Richards has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Arbuhmedov! Richards pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Arbuhmedov taps out and this one is all over!
