Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gutz comes to the cage accompanied by Everyday. Snow has chosen country roads as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Joey Snow is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cormac Gutz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Snow!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gutz drives through and clinches with Snow against the cage.
Gutz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Snow backwards.
Gutz is leaning against Snow and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Gutz prevents Snow from breaking the clinch.

Gutz manages to break the clinch.
Gutz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gutz wants it to stay on the feet.
Gutz throws out a powerful jab.
Gutz lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gutz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Snow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gutz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gutz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gutz connects with a solid leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gutz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Snow throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gutz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Snow is in Gutz's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Snow stopping the sweep attempt from Gutz.
Snow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gutz is on top in guard.
Snow being controlled here, momentarily.
Gutz wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.
Gutz looking to pass the guard.
Gutz stops Snow from standing up.
Gutz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gutz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cormac Gutz just wasn't active enough.
Gutz lands a head kick. Snow smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Snow takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gutz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gutz thumps Snow with a low kick.

Snow decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Snow looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow wants to take a breather but Gutz is having none of it.
Gutz gets back to full guard.

Gutz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Snow wants to stand but Gutz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gutz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Snow postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gutz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Snow, into his guard.

Snow keeping moving, preventing Gutz from controlling successfully.
Snow can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gutz controls the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gutz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snow wants to sweep here but Gutz controlling him for the moment.
Snow not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cormac Gutz.
Gutz looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gutz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Snow doesn't seem bothered though.

Gutz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gutz is leaning against Snow and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Gutz.
Snow wants to break the clinch but can't.

Gutz breaks from the clinch.
Gutz throws a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gutz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Snow's calf.

Gutz darts in and clinches Snow up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Snow can't get the takedown.

Gutz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gutz lands with an uppercut that bounces Snow off the cage and back into range.
Snow takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Snow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gutz fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gutz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Gutz stuns Snow with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

A frustrated look appears on Snow's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Gutz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Snow is breathing heavily.
Snow fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gutz lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Gutz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Snow on the side of the head.
Snow on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Gutz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Snow's sensitive parts.
Joey Snow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Snow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gutz tries to avoid it but Snow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gutz to the ground. Gutz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Snow stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gutz.
Gutz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Snow gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gutz.

Gutz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Snow backwards.

Gutz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gutz scores with a nice strike.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gutz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Snow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gutz throws a series of strikes that have Snow backpedaling.
Gutz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A left lands for Gutz.

That kick from Gutz tenderised Snow's leg. Snow is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gutz slaps away a takedown attempt from Snow, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gutz thumps Snow with a low kick.
Gutz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gutz lands a leg kick that knocks Snow off balance momentarily.

Snow takes a kick to the side of the head.
Snow tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
