Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nemanja Prijovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 31 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzeneg gets tackled into the cage by Prijovic. Prijovic maintains the clinch.
Prijovic gets through Schwarzeneg's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Prijovic creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Prijovic lands a body punch in the clinch.
Prijovic lands a nice shot to the body.
Prijovic lands a right hand that snaps the head of Schwarzeneg backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Prijovic throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Prijovic's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A right handed body shot lands from Prijovic.
Schwarzeneg takes a shot to the head.
Schwarzeneg looks gassed!
Prijovic lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Prijovic softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Schwarzeneg is rocked!
Prijovic throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Schwarzenegs head.
Schwarzeneg is still on wobbly legs! Can Prijovic finish him?
Prijovic creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Schwarzeneg with a big uppercut! Schwarzeneg tries to clinch up but Prijovic pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Schwarzeneg to the mat! Schwarzeneg covers up and Prijovic unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nemanja Prijovic!
Nemanja Prijovic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
