Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Alekseev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Praskaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alekseev's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Imperium. Nick Praskaton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Oleg Alekseev has been cut.
Alekseev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Alekseev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alekseev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Praskaton as he jumps to the side.
Alekseev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Praskaton fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alekseev is out of range.
Alekseev walks into a straight right hand from Praskaton.
Praskaton throws a leg kick but Alekseev checks it.
Praskaton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Alekseev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Alekseev has Praskaton pulled in close to control his posture.

Alekseev kicks Praskaton off and gets to his feet.
Praskaton throws a chopping leg kick but Alekseev manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Praskaton gets a clinch.
Praskaton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Alekseev.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oleg Alekseev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Praskaton tries to break free but Alekseev pushes him back against the cage.
Alekseev goes for a takedown attempt but Praskaton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Alekseev gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Praskaton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Praskaton tries to control but Alekseev wriggling away.

Praskaton is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Alekseev is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Praskaton is stalling here but it's allowed Alekseev to get half guard.
Alekseev preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nick Praskaton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Alekseev takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alekseev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Praskaton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Praskaton. No joy for Alekseev on that attempt.
Praskaton ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Praskaton steps into range and cracks Alekseev with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Alekseev flops backwards and Praskaton dives into his guard looking to finish!

Oleg Alekseev's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Horrible takedown by Alekseev or perhaps it was just good defense by Praskaton which made him look bad.
