And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frankie King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flikflak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but King moves away.
King throws a series of punches but Flikflak avoids them all with ease.
King walks into a left hand.
Flikflak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Flikflak thuds his right hand into King's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Flikflak takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
Flikflak misses with a body shot.
King takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

King gets a clinch.
Flikflak has King pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. King manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Flikflak on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
King misses with a knee to the head.
King throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King misses with a knee to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frankie King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

King takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
King throws a sloppy head kick
and Flikflak counters with a left to the body.
A big right from King misses.
King drops his hands momentarily and Flikflak takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

enabling Flikflak to counter with a crisp jab.
King looks gassed!

King looks to clinch

and Flikflak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.
King keeping moving, preventing Flikflak from controlling successfully.
Flikflak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Flikflak passes King's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flikflak works his way into side control.

Flikflak is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. King knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Flikflak wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.
Flikflak tries to move into full mount but can't pass King's legs.

Flikflak wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by King, who protects the arm well.

Flikflak thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Flikflak is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Flikflak is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt King will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Flikflak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
King wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flikflak in side control, throwing shots but King defends.

Flikflak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Flikflak wants to free his trapped foot but King is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Pedro Flikflak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flikflak is on top in guard.

Flikflak throws a low kick but it's checked well by King.
Flikflak takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
Pedro Flikflak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flikflak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Flikflak connects with a body shot that sends King's belly button to the back.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
King tries to close the distance and clinch but Flikflak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

King is rocked!
Flikflak drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of King's head, knocking him out cold! Flikflak is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
